4th Annual OC Halloween Car Show
Once again we went to the Annual Halloween Bug & Monster Classic Car & Hearse Show at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA. It was held on October 26th....IN HELL!

The day before I spent 7 hours gettin' Lily ready. Washin'. Waxin'. Polishin' all the chrome. I even polished Slim's coffin!

Unfortunately, 40 miles away Southern California was burnin' down! Wildfires were burnin' in the mountains, in Claremont, & Simi Valley, not to mention the fires in San Diego county! 

On the day o' the show I woke to yellow haze, a red disk of a sun, an' ash all over Lily!

The car show was hot! 95 degrees hot! Smokey! An' infested with BUGS! (The strip o' grass between the cars was recently re-seeded an' fertilized, attractin' millions o' gnat-like insects!) The bugs were attracted to the color yellow an' the flesh o' hearse drivers!

Despite these petty annoyances we still had a fun time, with Phantom Coaches members pullin' in NUMEROUS awards! All well deserved!
