Not quite as cool as a hearse, but still pretty friggin' cool! I just happened to be in the right place at the right time with a camera! This is the famous Amphicar. The only mass produced amphibious vehicle built for civilians. It really does go in the water! Advertised at 7mph in the water and 70mph on the highway. Amphicars were manufactured in West Germany from 1961 to 1968. In 1968 the company was basically "killed off" by the US EPA and DOT when regulations were tightened, and since 90% of Amphicars were sold to US buyers, the company folded. They're few and far between, but they're still around.
