Miramar Armed Forces Auto Show

The 2001 Armed Forces Day Auto Show was held at Marine Corps Air Station. The weather sucked, it misted until about 2 o'clock, but plenty of cars showed up anyway. I fell in love with that '58 Fury an' that '66 Toranado! I sure woulda loved to see a '49 Merc though.

The jarheads sure know how to put on a show! They made us feel welcome, even if we did freak out some folks. More than once I heard some mother tell her young'un to "stay away from that car". Nothin' puts a smile on my face like rockin' someone's boat.
