| We had an awesome time on Saturday, October
13th 2001 at the Queen Mary Haunted shipwreck hearse procession!
We assembled at Ronnie's lot on Signal Hill, where ya can
always find a hearse or ten. Phantom
Coaches wasn't the only club there, our friends from up north, Grim
Rides, also came to give the Queen Mary a proper procession! Amy the
Hearse Queen an' friends were there in force, an' were a totally bitchin'
addition to our wonderfully twisted bunch. Ever'one was havin' such a
good time yackin' an' grab assin', it was almost a shame to head off for
the procession. But we formed up in our best
procession manner, an' headed off.
After makin' it through one traffic light, an'
blatantly runnin' another one, we headed off on the 405! I don't know if
the locals knew what to do: Over 20 funeral cars headed down the
freeway, Larry drivin' Buffy all over the lane (Buffy looked like she
was usin' the WHOLE lane), an' the Baron eternally signalin' a right
turn that never came! I imagine we were a sight to behold. We
hopped onto the 710 for the final leg of our journey. For those not
familiar with the 710 freeway, it's infamous for 2 things: LOTS of
semis an' bein' one of the crappiest freeways in the state! There was so
much chipped pavement an' gravel flyin', I was afraid we'd get there
without windshields! We arrived at the Queen
Mary jus' as the sun was settin'. We had so many coaches that we hadda
park in 2 separate locations: The entrance to the Haunted Shipwreck an'
the entrance to the Queen Mary hotel. Too bad. The
staff of the Queen Mary treated us mucho bueno! Prime parkin' (free BTW)
an' free admission to Haunted Shipwreck! Very
cool mazes, BTW! I don't think I've recovered from the House of
Hallucinations yet! Special recognition
goes to the bitchin' couple of Josh and Adrianne, whom I
met in one of the mazes. They came all the way out here to the left
coast from Indiana jus' for this event! Ain't hearse people kewl! I think ever'one hadda
bitchin' time, I know I did! I'm already lookin' forward to the next
one. |
